Starting jon boat club in Missouri and have a couple ???

For those who are running clubs and jon boat tournaments I was wondering what kind of general guidelines you used? Where do you cut off size and horsepower? I know some jons can be as big or bigger than some large glass boats with horsepower to match. To me that defeats the purpose of jon boat tournaments. However Im looking for input from those who are already running established clubs/tournaments. I can see the potential for clubs like this to really take off in popularity due to the fact jon boats are so much more affordable and economical to the lower income fisherman or the fisherman who chooses not to spend 20k to 40k on factory bass boat rigs.

Here's the last attempt I'm aware of. As you can see by the dates it lost momentum.

Missouri tin-boaters!!!!!!!
