on my rich line the old coated cable looks like it is 1/8". It sit's low in the pulley. do most of these old systems run a 1/8" or a 3/16". I just think the 1/8" is to small but afraid the 3/16" is too big. I took a pulley to hardware store and the 3/16" fits ok but sticks up over the top of the pulley. I just want to be safe when I change the old cable out.

1/8" is plenty big enough for steering !
