Does that mean that the wells were closed off? It seems if they're not producing that the well head itself or the pipe leading to it would be closed. I sure hope so.

There are reports of oil seen at the base of the burning rig, I just hope lessons were learned from the last explosion on how to handle this situation better [-o<

Yeah! Leave the government and oil company out of it other than to cover the cost of clean-up. Let the "good ol boys" clean up. It will be quicker, better and done right. But what do I know...I'm just a screwed taxpayer.
