extending the leads to the ebox for a jet jon conversion?

Any chance the spark plug wires/cdis got switched out of firing order?

Shakedown cruise scheduled for Saturday afternoon. Up until this point it's only run on the thrailer.

I got cold feet (sorry for the pun) last weekend with an engine miss, 35 degree water with icebergs floating by, & wicked current. Thought I'd wait a week to let mother nature mellow out.

Better picture of operator station & controls. Switches are recessed to (hopefully) prevent unintential actuation: getting better 008.JPG [attachment=0] Keep thinking about improvements, I am going to brace those grab handles down to the floor somehow. (They are made from a a bicycle handlebar). I h...

Thanks for the compliment but I can't help with the ignition system.

Maybe there is a PWC guy in you area that could figure it out.

I had to completely rebuild the J box as it had filled & sat with water, terminals were all very rusty. Good thing it was a winter project!

Stator output does charge battery, there is a rectifier in J box.

As far as it not shutting off, my guess would be a bad ground.

Good luck.

AMK - Yes you can extend cables, I did same thing for mine, I soldered the ends together then triple insulated & sealed water tight. I just used some lawn & garden type cables from farm & fleet. I could have replaced the original cable altogether but it was sealed very well into the junction box. Ho...

Legal requirements for putting ski motor in Jon.

Link to the USCG boat builders guide. https://www.uscgboating.org/regulations/boatbuilders-handbook.php There are 3 pgs on how to size an outboard for a boat, but there are no restrictions on an inboard. I checked this all out before starting my project, called the CG. They, nor the DNR, require ins...

Getting close to the finish line! Got it started, idled @6000 RPM; had to sync the carbs better. Backed it into the river but pump wasn't sealed right & took on water right away. That's OK because icebergs were still floating by. Not sure I want to be the Titanic on 6 O'clock news. Here are some pho...

Where I am going to run, the water is less than 3 ft deep. You need a helmet more than a life jacket!

No blower is required unless an engine is in the same compartment.

However, a fresh air vent would be a good idea.

Fuel Tank Relocation

Thanks for the info. I only asked because i made my own sloped fuel filler neck mount out of plywood & fiberglass, probably have 3 hours into it. It is a USCG regulation that fuel not run into the boat if you overfill (good rule).

I also have polaris 750. Go to web site Green Hulk for advice on them, they can tell you everything you need to know. Part availability is not a problem. My only regret is not getting one with reverse gate. I looked into retrofit but it would be too much to buy separately.
