the object of the game is to remove all oxidation from the metal. bottom line is to prepare the metal to prevent ANY future exposure to air and moisture. first smooth it down mechanically with sanders, grinders, media blasting, etc. then with chemicals such as diluted muriatic acid in a spray bottle...

Johnny - agreed; that really does look bad !!
have you ever used POR-15 rust encapsulator ?
there is a way of using POR-15 to keep what you have, beef it up a little,
and still get a few more years out of it without drastic surgical measures.

Porch Bandits are so bad in my area that the local Fire and Police departments are r...

good job, Larry. with my broken jaw and other "stuff" still being an issue, I am eating a lot of baked fish in the oven with butter and lemon pepper with a sprinkle of a few herbs and spices. my current diet consists of baked or broiled fish with cheese grits, scrambled eggs with cheese grits, steam...

Firestick ???? Larry - get yourself an old B&W 90 pound TV, balance it on a rickety, wobbly metal TV tray, put a yard of aluminum foil on the rabbit ears and slap the fool out of it when it starts to get fuzzy and the sound drifts in and out....... 4 channels at the most. and early Saturday morning,...
