Rod deck straps

I use the velcro ones. I think they last a bit longer then the bungee's.

Another daily rant

Been on a number of forums over the years, and this rant is not unique to this site. It is a pet peeve of mine that people have to include an entire quote in a given thread when we all know what the thread is about. For example: The op will post several pics or have a lengthy post. Somewhere down t...

Installing stereo on a boat.

Get some ears buds and rock out. That way you do not annoy the other boaters who don't enjoy you music/news/games.

GPS maps of areas real time.

I am looking at two scenarios. Do I get an app for my phone or a device to give me a map of a lake, river etc... real time to see my current position? preferably I lean to the App for costs and not adding another device. I am looking for suggestions and even thought of getting an simple Garmin GPS ...

Rear Bench Conversion

FYI....I purchased a Cabelas hatch and it was half the price of FOF. They are made by R&R and are really nice.

Be careful how much foam you remove. You may need it some day.

Rivet adapter for cordless drill

I use the air one from Horrible Freight. Works excellent, even on the tough stainless steel rivets.

Jon Boat Rudders

Just hang another trolling motor off the transom. Always good to have a spare.

wind and tillers

I enjoy sliding across the lake sideways on the Grizzly 1860. Gotta leave plenty of room in the turns.

Best Battery for my Buck?

I only use Blue Top Optima's. No water to fill, no crud on the terminals and vibration resistant. Usually get 5+ years out of a set for my 24 volt trolling motor. Use them all day and still have full power. You get what you pay for. I've been down the Wally World road already, no thanks. My last boa...

trolling motor mounting

Getting ready to mount a foot controlled trolling motor to the bow of my jon boat and would like to find out if there is wood under the small deck? I am planning on using 2 pieces of wood sandwiched together for the top and through bolting everything. Would this work okay? Yup, that's what I did =D>

Noob bilge pump question

I have two. Seems like I have two of everything. I have one controlled by a switch on the console which is manual or auto. The other is a spare with the wires ready to be connected in the battery box. It is really a safety thing.
