Thats very nice work! I like your recessed foot control box and your storage and access areas. I actually like your inside colour :) Are you going to carpet the wood or similar?

Bench Seats

One of the best fixes ive seen on here -assuming you are keeping the benches- is to cut pool noodles to length and fill the benches. Those things have a lot of bouyancy to them!

Hey Maestro, was that 1.5" ID or OD OD... There's a good reason why i didnt get it welded, but in a nutshell, 2 different aluminum fabricators/welders looked at it and said a weld would break again faster than a mechanical connection. They both suggested the riveting and both said not to expect it ...

I got it at a local metal 'supermarket' through my school that I teach at. I had the tech at the school cut it on a metal bandsaw, but the metal supermarket would have cut it for free (1st cut is free). Ive said it before, most local high schools with a shop will do 'projects' for the community, if ...

My 14' sylvan had a cracked rib, just off center. I used a 1/4" thick by 1.5" diameter aluminum pipe cut lenghthwise. I squeezed the rib together, layed the pipe on to extending well past the crack, drilled and pop riveted 3/16" rivets. It has not come apart, even after some really rough waves and b...

A newbie in need of advice...

The price point is good (at least its inline with what they go for here in southwest ontario), and hopefully your buddy can hear and see the motor running. However, the pictures seem to show a gunwale repair on the starboard side, midship. The same area towards the stern looks bent. I would ask abou...

Just make sure the surfaces are clean and hold the parts in place for a minute. Give it a day before you try heaving on it by hand (i know you will try, I did too :) ) , and she'll be solid!

This tape is solid, ive used it to mount metal to brick, to mount a whiteboard to brick and its used by autobody shops to reattach emblems and names back onto hoods etc. Its easy, just measure, cut, peel, stick, hold for a minute. No mess. Like i said, i have an attwood 800gph pump, and its SOLID. I...
