If you think stabil will save you put some e gas in a clear glass jar with stabil and sit it on a shelf in your shed. I saw phase separation in three months, water on bottom right where you pick up tube is in your fuel tank and fuel on top. This means you will get a pure surge of water to your engin...

I know the feeling of having your boat unload itself in the middle of the ramp. I waxed the bottom of my brothers boat with liquid speed and it sped right off the trailer on the ramp, 16 ft skeeter with 150 GT Johnson. 10 trucks waiting to load their boats. At least we had plenty help dragging it ba...

The pressure washer will work wonders in the 4000 psi range then a nice sand down with 80 grit and a fresh coat of roll on smooth monstaliner in any color you want and she will be good to go for years. You can roll on monstaliner getting a professional looking job and tough as a nail. Also makes tou...

After loosing one 2001 25 HP Yamaha 4 stroke outboard and one 3 year old 300.00 Echo weed eater to ethanol I run the recommended amount of red stabil and a once of sea foam per 5 gal to my fuel at all cost and never ever use ethanol fuel in anything but my truck. Once you feel the pain of a few thou...

ABU cust service

Just sent my first of six Garcia Orra S 40 spinning reels back for repair under warranty. Not sure what happened but the bail would not close, seemed like a simple fix so my dumb butt decided to open her up and fix it, well an hour and 20 parts scattered all over the floor later I gave up. I could n...

Knott Waterproof Hubs

One reason not to use bearing buddies is they pressurize the hub, hub has a rear seal. What happens to the rear seal when you put pressure on the hub ? Ever wonder why you have grease on the back side of your wheels when bearing buddies I mean killers is used. The pressure blows out the seal and wal...

Tracker Grizzly PPG Paint Code

Think I would find a new color I could buy reasonable and repaint the whole boat. Tracker makes it easy to buy a new boat but after the sale is over any tracker accessories needed is a real pita. I have a new Tracker boat and Trailer. Was told by the dealer to go buy accessories elsewhere or plan to...

Tiller steering

I think your kidding but if not I don't want to run my tiller in the middle of my back. The seat mount in my Tracker 1648 was in the middle so I mounted one to starboard and forward which makes running the tiller to your side and not behind your back. Much more comfortable and safe to operate. To be...

What's better Power T&T or NO T&T & a CMC unit?

After going thru three of the CMCs in five years I decided buying my motors with factory PTT is a must. I replaced relays on all three. Keeping them completely dry is a must or they will short out in a few months. On a side note I have yet to break a factory PTT in 30 years of boating. Adjusting my ...

If you have screw in pedestals like mine they may be unscrewing a little and rocking by sitting up on the threads like mine are doing they are swivel ease and I'm fixing to cut the freeking threads off so they will stay pushed all the way down. No matter how hard I screw them in when you swivel back...

Crappie fishing

Been back to the Hill a few times and still catching crappie in 10 to 18 ft of water over brush piles. I don't fish spawning crappie so the time frame of spawning don't effect me much. The biggest trouble we have is the weekly cold fronts. Last weekend it was a bust major cold front shut them down b...

Applying adhesive I could use suggestions .

Take the glue you bought back and get your money. Laying the carpet over the ribs like that you will never keep it glued to the floor. The double sided tape down the sides of the carpet will work better or stick on Velcro. Have used both with success. Like you said no glue or tape may just be your b...
