anyone seen these boats?

Basically they've married two technologies together there. I guess by having a stationary outboard it does help keep interior space since it's always at a premium in boats. I just don't know if this really innovative? Not to me. What really makes this stand out from the pack ??? What's innovative i...

anyone seen these boats?

River Road Jet Boats are the new gold standard for outboard jets. That is a rather presumptuous statement. I agree the statement about the boats is a little presumptuous, but I am intrigued by the nozzle. Realistically, I think that is the key element that company has to offer. I'm curious if anyon...

Lefty Lews Tournament Pro TP1HL - SOLD

SOLD Lefty Lews Tournament Pro, TP1HL. 6.4:1 Includes original box. Not been used a lot due to other portions of my life eliminating fishing time - spent most of it's life stored in a closet. Some boat rash on the top of the reel, as you can see in the picture. I guess that would make it 8/10 cosme...

Cutting or bending aluminum sheet

I've read enough to make me very wary. Norton does make an Aluminum cutting wheel. The only source that I've found is a package of 25 for $63.00 plus shipping. Hoping to find another place to buy one or two. Here you go. http://www.lehighvalleyabrasives.com/bonded-abrasives-4-5-x-045-x-7-8-a46n-t1-...

Modern Transoms in Welded Boats?

duckfish wrote:Just a point to clarify.... G3 no longer uses any wood in their transoms. I believe they made that change in 2013.
That is good to know. That was really my biggest complaint with those boats - they have/had their act together with most other portions of the boat moreso than a lot of companies.

Modern Transoms in Welded Boats?

Thanks for the awesome replies. The transom construction on these all welded boats have been something I have been wondering about for quite some time so I am glad that I asked. Bassboy1 can you elaborate some more on the Weldbilt transom construction? I have them at the top of my list for my next ...

Modern Transoms in Welded Boats?

Can someone tell me how the transoms are designed in the modern all welded boats like Weldbilt, Alweld, Xpress, etc? Are they solid plate aluminum or what? I'm just trying to learn more about tin boats in general. I'm hoping to buy a new one in the next year so I figured transom design may be somet...

I need professional opinions please!!!!!!!

I'm still decking away on my 89 duracraft. Slowly but surely. Anyway last night I thought I finally completed the front desk frame work. I inserted the seat and pin into the receiver yo give it a test run. After climbing up and having a seat I quickly realized that I was too close to the elevated f...

Who can build me one of these

I tell you what I really want is an OEM side access toolbox. Basically, use the wasted space below the bed, in front of the wheel on each side, to make a small dry box. Ford and Chevy both did that over 40 years ago. 2 questions. How have I not seen that before? And more importantly, why did they s...

I tell you what I really want is an OEM side access toolbox. Basically, use the wasted space below the bed, in front of the wheel on each side, to make a small dry box. Much like the underbody boxes you see on flatbeds, but factory built into the sheetmetal, to retain the pickup lines. Dodge came cl...

1954 12' Lifetime Aluminum Boat build

That's a neat old boat, and I really like the look of that engine, even if it is a Mercury. Couple points I want to bring up after reading the thread. First, if your wire brushes aren't stainless, go ahead and pick a set of those up. Carbon steel wire brushes can actually contaminate the metal sligh...

I love the ones you can buy, but my Lord, they want thousands for them. If I had an ounce of hand tool skills I would be all over this. Which one of you can build me one of these? :LOL2: Maybe Bassboy1 can fabricate one for me with metal. http://adventure-truck.sfglobe.com/?id=15790&src=fbfan_15790...

Trouble with my Weldbilt

Yours isn't the first I've seen with every single rib popped like that. I used to like them - the design, on paper, is superior to many others. For example, the lateral stiffeners welded (well, not anymore) across the floor are flat on top, whereas many companies use a 1.5" tall hat section that fol...
