Amazon Prime

Ditto. It pays for itself just at the Christmas season. Plus, with Prime you get one free Kindle download per month, plus loads of other free books. I've had my Kindle for over two years and have yet to pay for a book.

Noodling

Just my two cents here - Not trying to hate on any one for having fun but, my understanding is that those big cats are the primary breeders in most bodies of water. If we start taking too many of them out, how long until that impacts the fishery? My admittedly non-expert opinion is that the big cats...

Resurrecting a 1652 MonArk

Bringing up an old topic here... Just curious of any progress that might have been made..? I have the exact same model and year Mon Ark boat, so this thread has definitely piqued my interest... Awesome looking trailer!! Very nice and detailed work! Thanks for the pics! Paint is about 98% gone from ...

Compostie Deck material for bunks?

I used composite material for my bunk boards. It's been a little over a year and, so far, I still couldn't be any happier. The trailer has been sitting out in the weather for two or three months while I've got the boat in the garage (still scraping paint). I got around the sagging issue by just by a...

Please, Be Careful Out There (Not For The Squeamish)

Repost from another site. Anybody who has been fishing for a while probably has stories of near misses, but I literally cringed when I saw this.

Again, please be careful out there.

it's 10:56 where is every body ?

My normal work schedule means I'm usually up by 2:30 am. On days off, if I sleep 'till 4:00, I feel like I've lost half the morning. Most days, I don't recall seeing many people around here at 3:30.

Resurrecting a 1652 MonArk

No real progress to speak of. Had it parked under the shed in the back yard through the holidays. Excuses include a big time change with my job, holidays, multiple projects around the house and the usual family responsibilities. Of course, my personal laziness has nothing to do with lack of p...

Plastic Lumber

Mine are around 62 to 65" I have seen longer and shorter made. Osage has been used to make bows for centuries. Its been called Bodarc. I believe some other language for "bow wood" sorry I forget the language. Wow, beautiful work. Here, in north Texas, we spell it "bois d'arc". French for "wood of t...

Plastic Lumber

I used it for my trailer bunks and (so far) have no complaints whatsoever. I read in a lot of places that many people think the plastic wood has too much flex in it. I used the 2x6 dimension and put an extra support bracket in the middle of each board. Glued carpet to the bunks and IMO it came out g...

Trailer rebuild question

Here's a few pics from my trailer rebuild. I'm pretty pleased with how it came out. Be warned, though, lots of elbow grease was involved. Home. Finally.

Welcome back. Got a call from my younger son yesterday from Afganistan (Army). He said that whatever it was they got served yesterday, they just decided to call it "turkey".
