Re: 3 gal or 6 gal tank for 15hp 4 stroke?

I would go three gallon for sure. Both boats I've owned had six and gas would get condensation and never came close to burning even a gallon on an outing. Three would be better for weight, room, and keeping it fresh. Old boat was a 15hp 2 smoke and new one is a 25 efi 4 stroke. The 4 stroke is insa...

Re: Do you own, or consider owning a jump starter?

Thanks for sharing that video. I've been wanting to get a compact charger mostly for snowmobiling as my sled doesn't have a recoil, but my boat does. Also be handy to charge phones on our fishing trips. Not to mention the car.

Re: 21" transom?

First post a pic of the motor. If it really is a long shaft, then before I went cutting any transom, I'd be looking at a mini jack plate so you can bolt it on and lower the motor without cutting.

3 gal or 6 gal tank for 15hp 4 stroke?

My rule of thumb is a gallon per hour per 10hp at WOT. So a 3 gallon would roughly give you 2 hours at wide open throttle.
Unfortunately the 3 gal tanks aren't half the price of a 6.

Either drain all fuel or run some premium non ethanol with stabil through it first. Change oil. You can fog the cylinders too.

Gotta be some kind of way to make something hinge up and brace to the seats

My last boat had some drop in floor sections between the bench seats. I used bolt latches, like on a tool shed, to lock into drilled holes in the bench sides front and rear. My benches went all the way to the floor. Worked great for me

In boat rod holders/storage?

Bought some 6 place rod holders and cut them in half. River and zip tie to the seat braces. Been good for 3 years so far. Image

Valco U-14 is happening,

Great looking hulls. I wish we could find those boats in my neck of the woods. Should sound great with the flowmasters on it. Lol.

Anyone familiar with Princecraft Pro 16' boats early 2000's?

My friend has a 17' Lund. 2000 model with a Yammy 115 4 stroke. Exceptional boat. I run a couple utility timmies, a 16' Naden and a 12' Harbercraft I like the utilities for camping but the Lund gets used in Georgian Bay for downrigging. Options are to find sandy sites to pull the big boat up on or t...

Anyone familiar with Princecraft Pro 16' boats early 2000's?

No doubt princecraft is a good boat. Lots of Lund around me as well (Owen Sound). As for legend, I am seeing quite a few both older and new but I've only welded on one. It was a split seam and I think it was a fluke otherwise I'd have seen more of them. You mentioned camping. We do several yearly tr...

Oil to gas ratio for idling

That's exactly what the vro engines did and what the etec engines do. Interesting idea.
