Re: RPM Readings and Prop Selection

I would put a 13p 4 blade Spitfire on. Rpms should be where you are with the 14p, if it’s a 3 blade. But you’ll gain the better holeshot and won’t loose anything at all with a heavy load. It will be 1 maybe 2 mph slower on the top. But handling will be much better.

Re: Mercury Drain/Fill Seals

Cork would be better if they have those Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk I don't know if I trust cork on a threaded fastener. I found a couple nylon washers at Ace. They're a little big on the OD, might take some whittling to make them fit, but I think they'll work. You do know that mercury seals (...

Re: outdoor winter motor storage

I saw on this morning's news that the first major winter storm is about to hit the east coast. Talked about sleet & snow. Must be a big one if we are hearing about it all the way out here. They hype all the snow up so much these days its' amazing! We are supposed to get 2" of snow here in southern ...

outdoor winter motor storage

If it’s a efi with injectors. Don’t run the fuel out. They have to stay wet. Are all the rubber O rings and neoprene washers will dry out and need to be rebuilt. Get a small 1 gallon fuel tank. Fuel stabilizer ( startron) double the amount needed. That just me though. And premium two-stroke oil. Mix...

Re: 2019 Grizzly Tohatsu 20 short shaft

20” shaft on motor, which means its a 19-1/4” for mercury. Transom is 22” See if you can set a phone or camera up to video the spray. Iam having a hard time with the spray coming from the cav plate set that high. But the transducers are Notorious for creating a sprayed like that. Sent from my iPad u...

Re: 2019 Grizzly Tohatsu 20 short shaft

Yes nice rig for sure. Only thing I suggest, is your transducer is angled to low. Once you pull the boat out of the water. And see the scam line, ( how the boat is leveled in the water) you can rise the end upward. So it’s level in the water. This makes a huge difference in performance. https://upl...
