Re: Etec 60HO

where are you running it? If your running in SEMO and going on the ozark scenic river ways with the HP restrictions the 60ho with a pump is going to be your fastest motor. This is because it's actually the same displacement same three cylinder block as the 75/90hp etec. So it's sold as a 60hp with a...

Re: Help deciding what to do with my set up.

So what did you end up doing, jets typically need to be trimmed all the way down (tucked in) to get on plane well. Then you can try and trim up some to increase top speed. Your original jack plate is setting it back too far, it can work with a jack plate, but if your staying with the jet just take i...

Re: Lowe Pathfinder or G3 CCJ

I'd like to see under the floor of both of them. I don't know if they have any supports welded to the floor that run from bow to stern. I think they both only have the stamped girders that go from side to side. I don't know if any manufacturer has bow to stern supports other than Edge Boats http://...

Re: Boat size for 1992 50/35 Johnson

if your not beating up the bottom on your boat then you didn't need a jet, or your just not using your boat. My boat has it's fair share of dents just part of it if your using a jet boat for what it's intended.

Re: Tough hooks

I like gam hooks you can get them in bulk packs for not too much money off ebay or jann's. I've also just this past year started trying the the academy sports brand of hooks h2o xpress they're surprisingly good especially given the price. The ones I have are made in south korea which was a surprise ...

Re: Tungsten Price comparison

gnappi they're a little more expensive than the frog you posted, but you should try the z man frogs. They are incredibly tough, and float so if you want to pause them they don't sink down. I'd venture to say they would last even with snake heads biting them unless you get broken off. The down side t...

Nice catch none the less glad to hear she is still swimming. I'll admit the summer I spent in Michigan back in 2012 th...

Re: Impeller polishing

haha :LOL2: I haven't done it to mine as I figured a really good polishing would be reuined the first time I suck any sand or gravel. I have taken my housing off and used a dremel and 90 deg air grinder with sanding heads to get rid of the bad casting imperfections. I'm sure having a polish job help...
