Need a motor!

Well my personal preference is the old Johnson's and Evinrude's. What ever you buy you should run a compression check. Tune up parts are readily available for the old OMC motors and they are easy to work on if you buy a manual. Good move staying away from the Chrysler and Force motors in my opinion....

Halo Rods...do any of you fish with them?

Well the guy at the local bait and tackle told me he was selling more of the Halo than the Vendetta rod. The local store will warranty them for a year....I liked the feel better than the Vendetta. I hope it holds up good.

16 x48 Lowe Hustler upgrades....storage needed

Well I have had this Lowe Hustler for several years and wanted to fix it up, so I decided it is time finally. I have been collecting parts that I hope might work. First off big upgrades already done. I traded around and ended up with a 95 model 40 HP Evinrude with T&T to replace the 77 Model 35 hp J...

Has anyone ever done this conversion to their boat?

I agree, one of the strangest boats I have ever seen. With wheels on it would they be in the water?

Has anyone ever done this conversion to their boat?

Not a tin boat, but I have not seen this before take a look. I wonder what brand boat it is and if it is worth restoring....might make an interesting boat if you lived on the lake and did not have to haul it too far.

First Jon Boat and it's transformation

Nice looking blank slate to start with. Tell us what you plan to use if for and we may be able to make a few suggestions.....I would suggest a raised front deck....with as much storage as you can work out. Looks like what my son has been wanting for bow fishing.

boneheaded move of the century

If you have already bought the wire, at least take a look at a couple of different color rolls of electrical tape to mark them with. (Red+and Black-)

16' Stardraft motor capacity?

Sounds like you have done your homework and there is a lot of difference in price between Jersey and Bama. I think you will like the extra space and you can upgrade to more HP when you want. Good luck.

16' Stardraft motor capacity?

I went and looked at the ad and the StarCraft is a nice boat, but I would want to buy it for a lot less around here.....the price seem high without a trailer and motor.

16' Stardraft motor capacity?

I would go with the 16' especially if it is lighter. Depending on how you load it you might have the same amount in he water when you are running, it might be faster.
